Helping women dealing with domestic violence

We are pleased to be able to support women who have dealt with or are going through domestic violence via many means including counselling and group sessions over the years. We are also grateful to the many funders who have supported this.

A message from one of our partners...

MammaKind Reporting for Therapy for Healing

Kelly Fort – Co Founder & Head of Operations: “This important [partnership with] Therapy 4 Healing has helped some of the most vulnerable women and children access vital essentials at a time when they need it most. When women flee domestic violence they often leave all their personal belongings behind. Your [services has enabled us] to provide emergency packages including beds, clothing, shoes, toiletries and more. All of which are delivered to mums and their children within days of a referral being made.  It allows these families to retain their dignity and feel supported. We depend on grants to run our service and are so grateful to have received this [extra help]. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.”

T, Single mum to one child under 5 years old: “MammaKind are so helpful, I am so pleased to have a charity like them who can help, it felt like having a fairy godmother. I am a single mum and the packages I received I really liked. The items were clean, lovely designs and good quality. I expected baby items but when I saw the items for me it was a nice reminder that I matter and mums need to look after themselves as well. The service is perfect, and I can't think of any improvement”

P single mum to 2 children under 5 and an 8 year old. They are living in a hotel: “MammaKind - Oh my goddness it was a life saver. Everything was great. At that point I was experiencing abuse and couldn’t get any finance so the clothes and everything I received saved me. I was faced with so many challenges (escaping DV) and this kind of help and support was exactly what I needed and meant so much to me. I was housed far away from work and my children’s school and all my costs were rising, life was hard. MammaKind helped me feel supported and relieved some of the pressures on me and financially. It means a lot to me that my children and I look nice and thanks to MammaKind this is possible.”
